This fully automatic power- and load-sensing computer electronically converts the Ford E4OD transmission into a heavy-duty unit. The E4OD, in full-size Ford trucks and vans since 1989, has smooth, car-like shift characteristics. However, many truck owners would prefer firmer shifts-especially when hauling large loads.

TransCommand is the quick, efficient cure. The electronic module simulates a heavy load, directing the transmission to raise the hydraulic pressure accordingly. Light-throttle shifts are still smooth but firm, while full-throttle or heavy-load driving produces solid shifts that are right there. Excessive clutch slippage is eliminated, greatly extending transmission life.

Installation is easy, taking about an hour with basic hand tools. No modifications to the transmission are required. Banks TransCommand is built with high-temperature, solid-state components and comes with all necessary brackets and hardware. Strongly recommended for all E4OD transmissions.
