Technology Brings New Challenges

The dream became a reality in 1960 when two men leaped forward and took the steps necessary to make a dream come true. Taking the challenge to be a full service provider and to excel in customer service accepting the changes that technology has brought to our customers.

It began with fuel injection systems that had external remote mounted governors for speed control quickly moving into integral governed systems where the pump and governor are combined into one assembly. Today, we are looking at injection systems consisting of a pressure pump with hydraulically or electronically controlled injectors and from mechanical timing controlled to hydraulically timing controlled engines. The governors evolved from a combination of pivot arms, springs, and weights to a mixture of sensors, solenoids and stepper motors controlling such things on the engine as: timing, knock sensing, fuel delivery, and turbocharger boost. This was very futuristic back in 1960, but today it’s a reality.

Starting with one department to provide the necessary repair service for the fuel systems today requires an entire customer service team divided throughout six departments.
